On the 25th April 2009 (Saturday) the Youth Cares held their fourth monthly visit. The name of the home we visited this time was Pusat Kebajikan Kanak-kanak Cacat Yee Ran Jing Sheh(Association Y.R.J.S Handicapped Children Home). It was the first home YC visited where all the children were special in their very own way. We started our journey at 9.45 am and we reached our destination there about 10.30 am. Mr.Chuah who is the treasurer of the home appreciated our visit and welcomed us with an open heart. He then gave us a brief history about the home and his future plans for the home. The home has been operating since the year 2003.
Furthermore, the home is divided into two parts which is the boys room and the girls room. The home is occupied by 26 girls and 29 boys, altogether they have 57 children. Majority of the children are Chinese and a hand full of Indians as well. Mr.Chuah's duty is made easier by his 6 assistants. They do all the work in the home including cleaning ,changing clothes for the children and preparing meals for the home's residents.
Through out our visit, we noticed that some of the children were tied due to physical illness. It was a very sad situation indeed. At 12.00 pm, we thanked Mr.Chuah as we were about to leave. Lastly, Youth Cares members who took part in this visit were very thankful to Him and their parents for the blessings they had in their lives.
